The Bible - a literary masterpiece

The Bible

The Bible - a literary masterpiece

As a literary masterpiece, it stands out of all the masterpieces combined of all ages.

The great men like Mahatma Gandhi, George Washington and Tolstoy used to read it every day to derive strength and happiness. World-renowned literary men like William Shakespeare, Bernard Shaw, Dr. Samuel Johnson and so on have profusely quoted from the bible.

Is it not therefore worth to spend time to understand this marvelous book! It would be a foolishness to claim that one has understood everything in the Bible.

No human being can ever fathom it fully but at the same time one can understand it to the extent one is gifted by God. While it would heavily tax the intellectuals, the illiterates would easily comprehend its divine messages.

However, there are two types of readers, while one tours the other explores, and I am of opinion that exploring is, no doubt, better than touring, in relation to satisfaction and divine influence.
